Team Teach 6 hour Foundation Training programme dates for 2014-15

An accredited training programme in positive handling developed to enable staff to feel more confidence and competent in their management of disruptive and challenging behaviour, reducing stress by increasing safety for all involved.

The Schools' White Paper 2010 'The Importance of Teaching' sets out powers for teachers to improved discipline in the classroom.

Joint guidance produced by the Department of Health and the Department of Education and Skills (July 2002) recommends that all staff who are likely to use a restrictive physical intervention in the course of their work should receive clear guidance and appropriate training.

Health and Safety legislation requires employers to provide clear guidance and training to reduce risk where risk is foreseeable.

Team Teach training is designed to help employers and employees who have a duty of care to fulfil that duty.
