Team Managers please, please take just 5 mins to read the following information to help the day run smoothly – thank you in advance – Sarah Tucker

All helpers today are volunteers & each time any PC runs an event it learns from its mistakes, if you have any query or grouch – please speak to Sarah Tucker, with a smile, and she will endeavour to sort out your query.

All timings are approximate, if we are unfortunate to have hitches, injuries or accidents, this will add time to the day – please be patient.

Please park as directed by stewards in Branch areas allocated

PC rules regarding tack/dress apply, please ensure your team is correctly dressed. Please ensure you are ready as a team to be tack checked, you can then proceed to warm up. Any tack changes must be made in your warm up time – so make sure you have the correct kit on. Long hair MUST be in a net, preferably above collar level. Please note rules regarding spurs. Body protectors are advised but not compulsory.

To run the competition to time - we respectfully ask that you please ensure you present your teams at the collecting ring at your tack check time as a team (all four members) – once tack checked you can only proceed to warm up, failure to arrive on allocated time may mean a shorter warm up slot or if your slot is missed you may be forced to wait until all teams have jumped, if time permits. There will be 1 team competing, 1 team waiting and 2 teams warming up. Riders will enter the far side of the arena as the previous rider commences the last line of jumps, the bell will be rung and they should start immediately, please encourage them to go straight to the first jump. Riders MUST exit as soon as they have finished over the last jump – please encourage them to do this. Once finished they may wait to watch the rest of their team, this keeps everything moving and all smiling! Course walk allocations for teams travelling distances have been slotted in, please ensure members are ready to course walk at allotted times. Timings will be strictly adhered to aim for smooth & continuous running of the competition. It would therefore be appreciated if you could forward course walk times to team members and ensure they are ready. If there are falls and stops in the competition we will still allow the allocated time for course walks although this might be slightly later than advertised, please ensure you check regularly with the arena stewards.

Parents- please keep children and animals under control if you are here for the day or have other children who are not jumping. We respectfully remind you that Leyland Court will not tolerate unacceptable behaviour and you may be asked to leave. Please allow other PC’s to continue to use these facilities by stopping unwanted behaviour. We would politely remind you that mucking out of horses boxes is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN by the landowner – please take your poop home – thank you!

Children – keep your parent under control and encourage them to watch you always but remind them that outside assistance is forbidden however, loud raucous cheering is fine! There are refreshments available and you need to take your litter home with you are put it in the bin as horses graze the land.

God willing and weather permitting we will hold mounted prize giving in the main arena. Please try to remain as a thank you to sponsors, landowners and helpers. If the weather is against us we may hold unmounted prize giving by the sand schools.

Please help us to help ensure we all get home in time for roast dinner or take away and then !
