Job Description

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic and motivated teacher. This person will work within the current team at Laleham Gap to provide teaching and learning, curriculum development and the provision of a high quality learner experience. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the continuing development and improvement of the school and will be/have:

  • An outstanding and experienced classroom practitioner.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent and qualified teacher status, you will have extensive quality, teaching and experience especially with the 11-16 age groups
  • An excellent teacher/classroom practitioner and have the ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • An excellent track record of outstanding teaching across Key Stage 3
  • Proven ability and enthusiasm to motivate students
  • The ability to raise expectations and aspirations of students of all abilities
  • An understanding of effective and strategies for SEN teaching
  • The ability to keep on top of all curriculum changes and cultivate a clear learning environment

Information about the school

Laleham Gap School is the counties specialist provision for high functioning pupils aged 4 -16 with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and/or Speech and Language disorders. All pupils have a Statement of Special Educational Needs and there is an expectation that they will achieve a full range of GCSEs at age 16.

Laleham Gap is a highly successful special school and the employees are the reason for that success.
