Welcome to Math Class. This can be educational and fun if you let it be. I will do my best to treat you fairly and professionally and expect the same from you. If you ever have a problem with anything I ask of you, please talk with me individually.

Each day you are expected to be in your seat before the bell rings and working on something quietly: Warmup or Silent Reading. Classes are about 2 hours long every other day except for Zero Period which is approximately 1 hour. We will cover roughly one chapter every 2-3 weeks. I will do my best to give you as much class time as possible to work each day. Always bring extra material or a reading book to work on after the assignment.

Attendance – A lot of the work we do will be done IN class. Therefore, a good attendance record is very important to do well in class. If you are ever absent from a class, be sure to get it cleared with the front office before returning to class the following meeting. By the time you return to class, you should have copied the notes from a classmate or the website and attempted the assignment you missed.

Required Materials each day: Pencil (mechanical is preferred), Colored Pen, Dry Erase Marker, 3-Ring Notebook, Loose Leaf Paper – Regular lined and graph paper , Calculator (Graphing or Scientific (SIN-COS-TAN)), straight edge, reading book, spiral notebook (Algebra 1 only), mini-stapler, something extra to work on when you are done with your assignment. Note: SPIRAL NOTEBOOK paper will not be accepted if turned in (even if you tear off the li’l frilly things
