Updates to the look of Taskstream Tk-20 for Fall 2017 for General Education and Program Assessment

Overview: Beginning June 29th, 2017, the color scheme of the Taskstream-Tk20 assessment software has changed. The changes relate to the color and position of some of the buttons and some minor new features. The majority of the steps included in previous screencasts and step by step guides remain. Below a few screen captures are given and the changes are identified. If you do run into difficulties or have questions, please contact Patrick Barlow, Assessment Coordinator.

Landing Page:

When you log into the system, you are placed by default into the e-portfolio side, Learning Achievement Tools (LAT) area of the system. Clicking Go to AMS will lead you to the area for General Education and Program Assessment reporting activities.

Course/Program Home Page:

Once in the AMS or Accountability Management System, you will notice the access you have to any General Education Course or Academic Program for assessment purposes. Note that the color scheme has shifted from a gray/maroon to a blue/light blue version. The clock tower is visible on this home page. Course and program areas you have access to are list in the center of the page.

New Course (or similarly Program) Specific Page:

Once you click into the next layer of the system for a course or academic program you will note that:

  1. Functional tabs have been shifted to the right along the top edge of the workspace
  2. Left navigation area remains on the far left of the screen
  3. No changes to terminology or button names have been made

Edit Content Tab and Editing Page Look:

Digging into a part of the workspace to edit has been changed slightly. The options to export the page as a Word doc, PDF, print, and view the history log of the page are now in blue near the top of the window. The “Check Out” button is now green. The due date for this area is more prominent and status of the page is highlighted in a yellow shaded area.

Clicking on the Check Out button to edit the page will turn the menu bar along the top green. Buttons to make edits are now dark blue rather than orange or gray.

As the editing buttons are clicked, like Add New Measure, the functionality and information requested remains the same. The difference is in the color of the functional buttons. Light blue and dark blue buttons replace the orange and gray from the previous look of the system.

Once edits are made and you Check In the page, you are presented with the standard screen to add any comments to the page history. You can also click Return to the Work Area to go back to work on other areas of the workspace.

Submission and Read Reviews Tab:

The Submission and Read Reviews Tab remains the same except for the Edit Work and Submit Work buttons are now Dark Blue. To send your work to the GEAC or UPAC for review, you must submit the correct area using these buttons. Also, your reviews of your work will be found here on this tab in the Results column.

Publish Tab:

Just as a final look the publish tab, used in program assessment work, is the same except for the color of the buttons.
