TASHA'S FANTASTIC FUDGE

THE SPOON NEWS!

Third edition.

Cosmic Candy wants our fudge....

Marketing is the way to go and Tasha’s Fantastic Fudge has once again been busy marketing at the East Coast Radio House and Garden show. The home-grown hall stood its ground and made its mark this year. The stand alone concept is an innovative idea and the hall walked away with a Gold award. Afro Deli, Rosebella, Rainbow Art, Glasshoppers were just a few to mention. Stall holders always walk away from shows having promoted their business and having made lots of new alliances with other businesses!

Hey did you hear us on East Coast Radio?

Tasha’s Fantastic Fudge had its stand built by Milestone Kitchens who were Gold Medallion and Trophy Winners at the Royal show, earlier this year. There were many people through the doors on the weekends and stands did record sales. Damon Beard from East Coast fell in love with our fudge especially the Whisky flavour! We were mentioned on the radio and had customers buy fudge just because of what they heard on the station. Who says advertising never works!

The winner of the Tasha’s Fantastic Fudge hamper was Franki Wood all the way from Benoni.

WOMENS DAY 9 August

The catering company, KKS used fudge to remind us how special women are. Many pieces of fudge with dainty pink flowers attached were handed out on the 9 August for Women's Day. All colours of the rainbow can be done and it is amazing what a little extra does for a gift.

PERSPECTIVE!!

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son to the country with the express purpose of showing how poor people live! They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a poor family. On their return trip, the father asked his son: “How was your trip?”

“It was great Dad”

“Did you see how poor people live?”Oh yeah he replied. The father asked his son what he had learnt. His answer went like this.

I saw wehave one dog and they have four

We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.

We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have stars at night.

Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon!

We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go on beyond out sight.

We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.

We buy our food, but they grow theirs.

We have walls around our property to protect us; they have friends to protect them.

The boy's father was speechless. His son then added

“Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are!”

Give thanks for all you have and stop worrying about what you do not have. Appreciate every single thing you have. Life is short and friends are too few.

Farmers & Fudge...who’d have thought?

The Eston show has been and gone already. Time has certainly whizzed by this year. We tested the market with four new mouth-watering concoctions to roaring success.Cookies and cream, the most popular by far, Dutch Chocolate Coffee, Fig & Toasted Coconut. Regular customers stuck to their favourite the original but there were many kids who were very adventurous.
