Banquet and Catering General Information

We are glad you have considered placing your trust in Tarpon Springs Yacht Club to provide for your banquet and catering needs. We are available seven days a week for business and club meetings, office parties, weddings, birthday’s and other special events. Please contact our Head Chef Brian at 727-934-2136 #2 to discuss availability, menu options and pricing.

The Tarpon Springs Yacht Club offers three distinct venues for your next event:

The Main Dining Room can comfortably seat up to 125 guests for an event. Depending upon other requirements, such as registration tables or gift tables, that number may vary somewhat. Our Banquet room includes a full P/A system and private sound system.

The Past Commodore’s Dining Room can seat up to 50 guests for an event. It includes a private sound system, but not a P/A.

The Patio can seat up to 45 and support up to 75 guests for an event, weather permitting and it is pet friendly.

The entire club is also available for bookings. It can hold up to 175guests for either a sit down meal or a buffet setup.

Policy

Event Details

Our Head Chef will work with you to confirm all arrangements for your event. The details will be incorporated into our Banquet and CateringAgreement, which govern the terms and conditions for your event.

This document must be reviewed, signed, dated and returned to us on a timely basis before your event. All event services and details should be finalized two weeks in advance of your event.

TSYC is not liable for its failure to perform any signed contract if such failure is due to acts of God, labor problems, fire, flood, weather, power outages, terrorism, or other causes not mentioned beyond the Club’s control.

Cancellation Fee / Deposits

Our facilities are made available to our members and member sponsored guests for their private use on a first-come, first-served basis, and are subject to the TSYC Rules and Regulations.

Your event reservation (for the date, times, event space and preliminary arrangements) will only be confirmed upon our receipt of a signed Banquet and CateringAgreement.

The reservation must be cancelled with sufficient notice as specified in the contract; late cancellations will result in a cancellation fee or loss of deposit.

All cancellations must be received in writing.

Prices

Because each event if unique, The Banquet and CateringAgreementwill outline the estimated prices for all arrangements of your event.

These prices are subject to adjustment to current prices as of the date of your required cancellation notice. There will be a customary 20% gratuity charge is added to food and beverage items and 7% local tax is additional to food, beverage, fees and service fees.

Guarantees and Payment

Guaranteed guest counts and entrée counts must be provided no less than 3 days in advance, and will establish the minimum charge for the event, even if fewer guests attend. Sponsored non-members must pay this minimum in full 72 hours before the event.

No substantial physical changes of room setup or guest seating will be made within 24 hours of the event.

An on-site guest count will be taken and you will be billed for any attending guests in excess of the guarantee. Member-sponsored event charges may be paid by third parties, but the sponsoring Member guarantees all charges and is responsible for the conduct of all guests and any liabilities they incur.

Best Interests of the Club

TSYC reserves the right to cancel an event or to change an event space at any time if it is deemed to be in the best interests of the Club. The member and member sponsored guest must be in full compliance with TSYC policies and the member’s account current during all phases of an event.

The TSYC name, logo and burgee may not be used for promotional purposes, and it is requires TSYC board approval before guests are allowed to conduct solicitation, advertisement, exhibits, demonstrations or sales on the Club premises.

TSYC patio area is pet friendly however pets are required to be well socialized and on leash and in owner control at all times. Owners are personally liable for their pet’s actions and behaviors. The TSYC Entertainment Committee must pre-approve pet specific events.

Special parking and security requirements such as offsite or valet parking, at the host’s expense, may be required based on the size, nature and time of the event. The Club is not responsible for parked vehicles or stolen property or damage to personal belongings.

Tarpon Springs Yacht Club is not responsible for any items left on premise after an event.

The TSYC does not permit smoking except for the outdoor patio.

Services

All food, beverage must be arranged with and provided by the TSYC. The only exceptions to this are Champagne and wine may be brought in for a corkage charge. Specialty cakes may be brought in with prior arrangements and handling fees may be added.

Requests for special services(bands, decorations, tents, AV equipment, etc.) should be arranged with the Head Chef atTSYC.
