Provide full advice and information service for older people. The Citizen Advocacy Service offers emotional and practical help to people in care homes and to those with dementia using trained, supported volunteers. Age Concern also runs three social clubs at Meadows Hall, Whitton and Barnes,

Provides respite breaks for carers, thereby improving the lives of carers by giving them time to have a

break from their caring responsibilities. Professional carer support workers perform the tasks normally

carried out by the carer. The service is free and aims to be flexible and responsive to carers needs.

You need to register with them and there is a waiting list.

In partnership with Alzheimer’s Society, they run a weekly Caring Café for carers and people living with

dementia. In partnership with Macmillan they also provide a palliative care service.
