●  CRATE, TREATS, WATER DISH, HANDLER BEVERAGE

●  COLLAR (NO SLIP COLLARS, TAGS, ETC) AND LEASH

●  MICROCHIP AND REGISTRATION (IF APPLICABLE)

●  YOUR DOG (YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR PROPER BEHAVIOR)

What is the ACT?

Agility Course Test

ACT1 is an entry level test that is designed to introduce dog and handler to the agility ring and basic agility obstacles.

• Run a course at any height, 10-12 obstacles.

• A-Frame (5’), table, jumps (no spreads), open tunnels.

Complete the entire course in 60 seconds with a score of 85, no dropped bars, no missed contacts, no more than 3 attempts to complete any obstacle, no more than 3 wrong courses.

ACT2 is the second level and designed to further introduce the dog and handler

to the agility ring and additional agility obstacles

• Run a course at any height, 11-13 obstacles.

• A-Frame (5’), teeter, dog walk (allowed), table, jumps, spread (1), open tunnels, chute, 6 weaves

• Complete the entire course in 70 seconds with a score of 85, no dropped bars, no missed contacts, no more than 3 attempts to complete any obstacle,

no more than 3 wrong courses

Who can enter?

• Any dog 15 months or older who is being trained in Agility

• The dog cannot have earned any AKC agility title.

• Non registered (can be registered day of event) or AKC registered dogs welcome

• Dogs without registration numbers will be issued a temporary one after the event by the AKC office.

• If a dog/handler team has qualified at an event with an unregistered dog they will be contacted by AKC and invited to register the dog after the event.

How do I enter?

• Two ACT1 and two ACT2 tests will be offered on July 30, 2016

Cost -- $20 FIRST RUN, $10 FOR EACH ADDITIONAL RUN

(includes $5 AKC recording fee PER RUN)

$20 FIRST RUN, $10 SECOND RUN, THIRD & FOURTH RUNS $5 EACH
