Chappapeela’s Summer Recreation League offers: No gate fees, security at all games, game day jerseys, one practice per week, two games per week, unlimited use in batting cages, hitting stations, bull pens, and always full service concessions.

Hammond Area Recreation District No. 1 does not provide accident or medical insurance on program participants. I recognize that participants in HARD No. 1 activities may expose me to some risk of injury. Hammond Chappapeela Sports Park Recreation T-Ball, Softball, & Baseball Rules and Polices:

These rules and policies apply to everyone – parents, players, coaches, and spectators – who participate in any activity sponsored by, or in any way, are associated with Chappapeela Sports Park.

  1. No Alcoholic beverages, tobacco, or illegal drugs are permitted on H.A.R.D. No. 1 premises at any time. (Buildings, playgrounds, fields, parking lots, etc.)
  2. All information given by players, coaches, or parents must be true. False information, forged, or altered documents are prohibited.
  3. All participants, players, coaches, parents, and spectators will behave in a polite and sportsmanlike manner at all times. Only a roster coach may question a decision of an official. Abusive language, cursing, profanity, threats, or ridicule will not be tolerated.
  4. Fighting is strictly prohibited.
  5. No one shall deliberately damage HARD No. 1 property.
  6. Any persons violating any rule will be suspended or expelled from HARD No.1 activities indefinitely.
  7. As parent /guardian you are responsible for getting your child to practices and games on time. If your child does not attend practices, the coaches cannot guarantee your child will play in their next game.
