Systems Administrator / Dev Opss
Pinnacle Health is the country’s leading provider of web based software for commissioning healthcare services from pharmacies and other healthcare professionals.
Based on the Isle of Wight, we are now looking for a skilled and experienced Systems Administrator to support the growth of our infrastructure as we transition to a DevOps / micro-service oriented architecture.
Our infrastructure is morethan just a single big hosted machine. It’s a mix of many interwoven parts. To be successful you’ll need an understanding of hosting, networking, redundancy and availability and ideally you’ll be able to think and work like a developer and bring those skills to the infrastructure.
Skills:
Essential:
-Linux administration experience (Debian / Ubuntu)
-Experience in one or more systems / scripting languages (Bash, Python, Go, PHP)
-MySQL/MariaDB Galera Cluster administration
-HaProxy
-FastCGI / PHP
Advantageous:
-Chef / Ansible or other configuration management software.
-Docker Swarm, Kubernetes or other container orchestration technology.
-Elasticsearch / Logstash / Kibana.
-Experience automating configuration management, testing, deployment and change.
-Apache / Nginx.
-Jenkins.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
-managing and developing the production infrastructure at Pinnacle,
-managing security and risk to ensure high uptime and quality of service,
-ensuring all data is backed up securely and regularly and tested for recovery in line with industry best practice
-aiding developers who wish to deploy a new internal and external services on the systems.
-undertaking general development work as appropriate.

Remuneration Package
