This course is divided into course work from:

  • the textbook Shelly Cashman Series Microsoft Office 2007 from Course Technology that you can rent from Textbook Services at the University
  • assignments you will submit to the DropBox
  • unit test using UTest
  • checking your grade using the GradeBook

You can work the assignments at your own pace; however, the unit quizzes and exams will be scheduled following this syllabus.If you are not familiar with the University's Instruction Suite (OIS), please click here for a tutorial to show you how to do what is required for UTest, the DropBox, the GradeBook and other activities used in this course.

  • You will be using your Southeast Key for all correspondence and for logging on to my web page to take quizzes, submitting your course assignments, and checking your grade.
  • For all assignments from the textbook where the instructions indicate you are to "print" the item, you will NOT print the item, but will be instructed in this course to drop the assignment into the DropBox.
  • All Quizzes will remain open from the beginning of a unit until the date of the next exam for that unit. Be sure to check the dates the Quizzes are available for each unit.
  • You can follow the Links in theGradeBook to keep track of the assignments, quizzes and exams that are required and what your current score is.

  1. Your PowerPoint Presentation
  2. You will prepare a PowerPoint presentation about yourself. The minimum is 5 slides, the max is 20. It cannot be too large to fit into the DropBox.
  3. The presentation can be something about an organization or club you are a member of. It can be about your family and friends. It can be about your life, dreams and aspirations. Make it fun and be creative.
  4. You will submit it to the DropBox before the night of the presentations and will display it to the class from the DropBox. If it will not load into the DropBox, then you will need to cut back on something in the slides. Sometimes pictures take up too much space, so reduce the size of the pictures and try loading it again, or you will need to remove some of the slides.
