About Sycamore Hills Golf Club

Sycamore Hills Golf Club features a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course located in Fort Wayne Indiana and opened in 1989. The club has hosted numerous championships including the USGA Girls Junior and Womens Team Championship, 3 Web.com PGA TOUR Playoff Events, and 3 Junior PGA Championships. Championship golf and great dining experiences are in the club’s DNA.

The club is privately owned (4 owners), debt free and has undergone over $12M in capital improvements over the past 4 years. Projects included $5M in golf course renovations utilizing the Nicklaus Design team, a $4M clubhouse expansion featuring a spectacular outdoor dining venue overlooking the 18th hole, new kitchen equipment with a new banquet kitchen, Wine Room with private lockers, 2 four bedroom golf cottages, and a new Halfway House.

The Club has 275 Golf members and 475 total members who generate $1.8M in food and beverage revenue.

Position: Food and Beverage Director – the Club is open year-round.

Reports to: General Manager COO

Food & Beverage Director Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible forthe financial performance of all F & B operations.
  • Responsible for delivering a dining and service experience commensurate with the finest private clubs.
  • Work with Executive Chef to create and deliver dining experiences that feature fresh ingredients that compares with best restaurants.
  • Responsibility for hiring, training, and management of all front–of- house F&B employees including servers and utilities.
  • Monitor controls to minimize food waste.
  • Responsible for wine and beverage program. The club has an active wine program including 72 member wine lockers.
  • Create special events to drive revenue and member satisfaction and retention.
  • Coordinate Banquet events with Member Services Manager
  • Direct Manager Reports include Executive Chef, Banquet Manager, and Member Services Manager.

Qualifications

  • College Degree preferred
  • CMAA career track a positive
  • Previous F & B management experience at Private Club

Compensation

  • The club offers a competitive compensation package including salary and food and beverage commission. $60,000+
