Championship details

To compete in the secondary swimming multiclass championship for students with disabilities all swimmers must have an official classification obtained through Swimming Australia, Swimming SA or the Australian Paralympic Committee.Classifications must be obtained prior to the championship by contacting the above organisations. See the Swimming Australia website for more information.

Entry fee to the competition is $2.00 inc GST per student and can be paid at the entrance.

Gates open at 9.00am. Teacher/ parents/ caregivers are to report to the results room at 9.45am. Warm up is at 10.00am and the competition starts at 10.30am.

The event will be conducted as per the Australian Swimming ‘Guidelines for Including Multi-Disability Events into Able-Bodies Swim Meets’ with students competing in multi-disability events.

Nominations

I declare that by completing this form that all students have approval from the Principal to compete at this event under the duty care of the school. Permission has also been granted the School Sport Team to use all students’ name, school, photographs, video and/or audio recordings in printed publications, on the website and on social media accounts. Students without permission must be identified to the event convenor prior to the start of the event.

Conditions of entry

Students must be capable of swimming 50m non-stop to compete in this championship. This is not a come and try day.Schools must be registered with School Sport SA to participate in the event. If you are unsure, please contact the School Sport SA office on 8416 5900 or by email.
