  2. $2300 for 2016/2017. There have been a lot of upfront costs for a Keurig, supplies to get started (plates, napkins, cups, utensils etc). Apparel is doing well. $255 was spent on insurance. The 501c3 was filed.. There is $3700 in the bank. Robin identified a popcorn machine for $240 and will submit paperwork for this. Popcorn is a great profit item.

  4. New Business
  5. Sherri Franzman will sell Apparel during school Oct 10. Apparel items will be shown in a locked display cabinet to increase student awareness (Judy Pincus). VJ will get the information to Fran by Thursday to ensure it is announced in the Sunday call.
  6. We will have a booster club table with membership forms and apparel at the Open house 10/13 for 7th & 8th grade potential students.

  8. Fran approved athlete of the month program for a male and female athlete. The athlete will receive a t-shirt and certificate and will be announced on Eagle Eye News. The procedure will require the coach to nominate the athlete by filling out a form. VJ will check PowerSchool to ensure the athlete is eligible. A panel of teachers will confirm the athlete has a positive attitude and leadership qualities. Since it is already October, target will be 2 athletes per gender in October and 1 per gender in November.
  1. Athletic Director Update (VJ)
  2. Varsity Jackets costs approximately $100 and come from VJs budget. Jackets are earned on a point system based on participation. Milford Board of Ed created this process for earning a jacket. Parents are responsible to affix letters and any desired stitching. Blanchettes, City Stitchers and Nantucket Embroidery offer the services for a price. (At Foran the family pays for 1/3 of the jacket.) Approximately 30-50 athletes earn a jacket per year. The jackets are given out at the End Of Season banquet.
  3. Ticket fees to all home sports games are determined by the SCC. Football brings in approximately $45,000 year in ticket sales. That is $30,000 less than the expenses for the event. Some of the costs are for officials, ambulance, police and workers. The shortfall comes out of uniforms and equipment.
  4. Sponsor T-Shirt. Foran currently sells Pride t-shirts for free admission to most home games (Thanksgiving game, powderpuff, froshmore football and hockey excluded). Admission is tracked monthly for each student with a Pride t-shirt. If the total student admission with Pride t-shirts exceeds the cost of the t-shirt at the end of each month, a Foran donor will cover the short fall. In 2 years, there has not been a shortfall. Booster club to explore selling t-shirts at Law for free admission to home games with the same exclusions as Foran. This is a potentially large liability for the new Law Booster Club. Board to identify corporate sponsors and tiers of sponsorship for Law shirt to sell to increase school spirit by boosting attendance at home games.
  5. Average GPA of athletes is 3.53!
  1. There is a large gymnastics meet Nov 5 & 6 in the old gym. Concessions run near room 193. Bacon/egg/cheese sandwiches at 7:30 am. Lots of people. Use the Home Ec room to cook.
  2. Judy Pincus made a motion to adjourn. Michelle seconded. Meeting adjourned.
