Connections

Overview

Developing leadership skills and potential is a key priority for UnitedHealth Group. Connections enables enables the growth and development of leadership talent throughout the organization. Emerging leaders are paired with experienced leaders on a 12-month mentoring partnership. This program enables one-on-one guidance to develop specific strengths to leverage and areas to improve. Other opportunities for development are also offered exclusively for participants throughout the program, including Insight Developmental 360, business education sessions and networking events.

Program Goals

·  Support the development of a mentoring culture

·  Promote cross-company networking and an enterprise point-of-view

·  Enhance business competency

·  Increase mentees’ awareness of their strengths to leverage and areas to improve

·  Improve employee engagement

Program Logistics

·  Connections is organized once per year for in-person and virtual meetings.

·  Participation is by nomination and selection; contact your manager if you are interested in learning more.

·  Participant Qualifications: High-performing employees in salary grade 29; one year tenure at UnitedHealth Group; demonstrated leader in good standing within the organization; committed to growth and development and able to devote time to participate in the program; has not participated in the Mentiuum 100 program.
