Classroom Procedures:

  1. Absentee policy: It is YOUR responsibility to get your make up assignment. Do not interrupt class for make up assignments. It is also your responsibility to HAND it to ME.DO NOT put it on my desk, it may get lost.
  2. Tardies: We will follow the CHS tardy policy.
  3. Late Work: Sociology is designed to allow students to finish their work in class, because of this I do not allow work to be turned in late. If a student has a problem with the work they may come to me and discuss the assignment and late work will be collected on a case-by-case basis.
  4. Projects:Students will be given various projects during the semester. Once again, late work will not be accepted.
  5. Respect others: Listen to the speaker; do not interrupt. Everyone will have the opportunity to express his/her opinion. Use good judgment when speaking, be aware of what you say and respect the others who are listening. NO OBSENCE or inappropriate language!
  6. Bell work: Be in your desk and working on the bell work when the bell rings. Bell work is due approximately every ten days. If you are absent write the word absent beside the date you are absent.
  7. I dismiss the class, not the bell! Please remain in your desk until I dismiss you.
  8. Smile and laugh a lot: I have a sense of humor and enjoy laughing as much as you do, but be aware when we should laugh and when we should be serious. Also, we do not laugh at the expense of others. Remember no disrespect allowed.

Remind:I use the remind app to remind you of upcoming events and projects, tests homework, etc...You can sign up by texting @chsoc17 to 81010 This is a one-way communication tool for me to remind you of upcoming events. If you or your parents need to speak to me please email or call me during school hours.
