Supplementary Table S3 Akaike’s information criterion (AIC) of the regression models of independent variables ‘season’, ‘location’, ‘host sex’ and ‘host age’ that influence the binomial dependent variable malaria (ANME01 Plasmodium sp.) infections (infected = 1, not infected = 0) in New Zealand bellbirds Anthornis melanura. A total of 311 observations were retained for this analysis across five sampling seasons (early autumn, late autumn, winter, spring and summer) for two host subpopulations, Tiritiri and Tawharanui, located in the Hauraki Gulf, near Auckland, New Zealand.
