A1. Question wording from all surveys

We use three questions from each study to define the indicators used in paper: the number of partners reported in the last 12 months, and the dates of first and last sex with each partner. The exact question wording for each is shown below. “Qnum” refers to the number of the question, which for DHS is sex specific.
