In Addendum #2, the following additional scope of work was listed on page 6:

Additional Scope of Work

  • Generator installation
  • Parking lot expansion
  • Site utilities ( water, sewer, storm water, natural gas)
  • Design access road
  • Sidewalks and landscaping
  • Installation of a small scale wind turbine (already owned by college and on premises)
  • Installation of small photovoltaic array

The following items under additional scope of workare included in the $10.6 million construction budget:

  • Site utilities ( water, sewer, storm water, natural gas)
  • Sidewalks and landscaping
  • Design access road

Following award of the RFP, the following items under additional scope of workwill be negotiated

with the awarded firm:

  • Generator installation
  • Parking lot expansion (if needed)
  • Installation of a small scale wind turbine (already owned by college and on premises)
  • Installation of small photovoltaic array

PREPARATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT FORM

For the purposes of this proposal, firms should include costs ofpreparation of the EAF for SERQA process.

SPECIAL AND CONSTRUCTION TESTING

On page 4 of Addendum #2, reference is made as to how the college proposes to handle the cost of special and construction testing. The actual cost of the testing will be paid by the owner through the funding of the project, with the expectation that the architect will assist the college in determining the types, budget, and providers of testing.

FF&E

On page 4 of Addendum #2, it was originally stated that the procurement of FF&E would be handled

by the architect. Clarification: Although the initial selection and layout of FF&E will be provided by

the architect, the actual purchase of FF&E will be coordinated by the owner.

LEED

Further clarification in reference to LEED on page 2 of Addendum #2: the project should be designed to comply with the lowest level of LEED; however, LEED certification will not be pursued. The expectation is for standard building commissioning to be conducted.

ACCESS ROAD

As stated on page 5 of Addendum #2, the access road is to be designed as part of the project and it will be included in the overall fee. Clarification needs to be made in that the fee for the access road needs to include site observations and other typical construction administration tasks.

NOTE: There will be no more addendums prior to the RPF deadline of June 9, 2015, unless further pertinent documentation is received from DASNY prior to that date.
