Sunday Set Up… Your Age Group needs to …
Opening up
· A Duty Manager, appointed from the officers and senior staff in the Youth section, will have overall responsibility for the execution of these procedures. The Duty Manager will be on-site from 8.30 and will leave after the last Junior game.
· There will be an external cleaner who will open up at 8.00 and complete by 9.30.
· The Chef/Catering Manager will be on-site from 8.30
Parking - Minis
· Provide three Parking Marshalls 9-10am, who should wear the yellow tabard, kept in the blue box, first bay in the large container.
· They should be located at the Teddington Cricket Club (TCC) car park entrance road, at the entrance to NPL off Queens Rd and in the Clapperstile NPL paring area.
· No parking by the clubhouse or in the TCC car park.
· Use the Clapperstile (NPL, Queens Rd) as priority, don’t park in Coleshill Rd. The Cobblers Walk Car Park by TCC has limited space and is prioritised for the Juniors from midday.
Parking – Juniors
· Your guests will arrive from 11.30 onwards. The NPL car park is likely to be full… so a) warn them and b) direct them to the car park by TCC on Cobblers Walk.
· To do this, provide 2 Parking Marshalls – one at the Queens Rd entrance to the Clapperstile and secondly at the cobblers Walk car park to direct them on foot to the clubhouse.
Pitches/Signs/Post Protectors - All
· The pitch and changing rooms allocation will be on the TV in the entrance way.
· Put up 6 “Keep Off” Signs around the Cricket square.
· Put 4 “No Adult boots/No Warm up” signs along the edge of the cricket outfield to stop coaches and Juniors training on the outfield in studs.
· Put “No Glasses” Signs on each playing area – 3 outside the clubhouse, one each at the entrance to the No 1 and Barton’s Cottage pitch
· Put out 6 waste bins with black bags - 3 alongside the U6, U7, U8 and one each half way along Barton’s Cottage and No1 pitch areas. Put one bin in front of the club house.
· Put post Protectors out on both pitches
· Put age group signs out on the gravelled area so coaches can pick up with the kit bags.
· All the signs are behind the new club under the kitchen vent. Door padlock code: 2143
· When Minis has finished, put the AGE GROUP signs back in the right place…. NOT THE CONTAINER
· Juniors… DO NOT WARM UP ON THE CRICKET OUTFIELD, LEAVE THE SIGNS OUT ON THE OUTFIELD, BUT PUT AWAY WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED
· Juniors… when you put the post protectors back… THEY DO NOT LIVE IN THE CONTAINER
Containers – All Youth equipment in the main container
· We now have combination locks for the container. Code 1863
· Once locks are off, place on the container handles to minimise the chance of loosing them
· Put age group Bags and first aid boxes/bags out in front of container
· At the end of the session, make sure bags, first aid boxes, tackle pads, water bottles etc are put away in the container in a safe and tidy manner to prevent accidents and allow access
· Only lock up if the last age group, but if you are last make sure you lock up!!
Tuckshop - Minis
· Two regular volunteers usually run the sweet shop, but if unavailable, then you will need 2 volunteers
· Stock kept in the dry store, next to the kitchen vent
· Set up on trestle tables outside the clubhouse if the weather is fine, or inside if not.
· Prices and a £40 float will be provided by Mark Humphries (U7 – Treasurer)
· Run from 10.30-12.30. Hand cash to Mark Humphries or a club officer – Julian Knott, Gareth Cross, Simon Cartmell, Kevin Day or Mike Lightfoot. If no one is around please take home and call Mike Lightfoot on 0784 328 0406
· Sally and Simon Davis are responsible for the shop… any stock issues, let them know at
Bar and Catering - All
· Breakfast service will commence at 9.30 until 11.15. The rota’d Minis age group will need to provide 2 people to take orders/serve tea/muffins/Americano coffee at the bar, a barista for other ‘real coffee’ and 2 people to help in the kitchen, making breakfast baps etc.
· These volunteers will continue until 1.00 – see below – helping with change-over to lunches and tidying up.
· Cath Gould or Sue Wells will open the bar for midday, per the Cub’s Licence.
· Bar volunteers may be needed when busy from 12-1pm for Minis. After 1 pm, volunteers will come from the Juniors who are home that day.
· Lunch service will be from 12.00 until 2.00 to cater for Minis and their families and for Jnrs arriving to train/play. The menu will be xx and chips and a number of specials each week.
· Minis volunteers will staff the 12.00 til 1.00 slot. The rota’d Juniors will do 1.00 until 2.00 and then 2.30 until close to serve players food.
Clear Up - All
· Minis age group on duty remove bins from cricket outfield. Leave ‘No adult boot’ signs up if Juniors at home. If not, also remove these and bins from No1 and Barton’s Cottage pitches.
· Put any rubbish in the large black bin. Use the triangular key (found in the ‘facility keys’ box in the small bar area) to open carefully if locked. Recycle glass and card appropriately
· Put post protectors and pitch markers/flag posts away
· Put age group signs in the compound in the area under the kitchen vent
· Clean up the kitchen, bar area and leave it fit for the next users.
· If a BBQ has been used, make sure the gas is turned off on the cylinder, the griddles scrapped clean and allowed to burn off, then put back under cover at the back of the clubhouse, if the domestic one, or put in the container and secured if the large 6 footer. Put the red gas bottles back in the container
· Juniors age group on duty remove bins from No1 and Barton’s Cottage pitches, put post protectors back behind the clubhouse and take down the signs on the cricket outfield.
· Wipe down kitchen, tables etc and throw all disposable plates/bowls/cutlery away tidily.
Last age group at Bushy Park (if no Ladies games)
· Make sure there are no bags, bins, signs, kit, rubbish left around the No 1 and Barton’s Cottage pitches, cricket outfield and clubhouse environs.
· Make sure all containers and the rear compound gate are locked, the pitch allocation TV is switched off, the shutters are down and all exterior doors to the club is locked – kitchen main door and changing room 3-6 door.
One final thing… the external water tap by the kitchen door. This has an internal off switch in the kitchen above the dishwasher. Put the lever horizontal in the off position to prevent anyone mischievously turning it on and letting water flow all night.
