0th Wedding Anniversary Mass

October 23 ~ Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time
“… the Lord stood by me and gave me strength, so that through me the proclamation might be completed
and all the Gentiles might hear it.” Proclamation? The proclamation is the Gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ. Today, we are sent not to the Gentiles, but to those who do not feel welcome in our parish, or have been away so long they feel self-conscious coming back. Our job is to proclaim the Good News – share God’s love for ALL - by inviting someone to join you at Mass and intentionally welcoming the strangers in our pews. God will give you the strength to do this. Let Him work through YOU.
October 30 – Thirty-first Sunday in Ordinary Time
You don’t have to be rich, or short, or a CPA, or work for the IRS for Jesus to come to your house, just open your heart to Him. Zacchaeus was “seeking to see who Jesus was”. The reward for this seeker was an encounter – one that got tongues wagging! Today, many people are seeking to see who Jesus is. Some may not be aware that He is what is missing in their lives. By sharing the importance of Jesus in your life and your encounter with Him daily in prayer, you can introduce Him to a seeker.
