Conditions of Entry

  1. All exhibits must be registered with their respective Breed societies & all members must be financial
  2. All registration papers, foal recordings or Certificates of pregnancy must be produced on request.
  3. All stallions/colts must wear a bit when shown in the ring or outside unless either tied up securely to or outside a trailer/truck.
  4. All exhibits must be under effective control of a capable handler, whether ridden or led.
  5. All foals must be led
  6. All persons in charge of exhibits in the ring must be suitably attired. (English/Western/Dust coats acceptable) No advertising allowed in the rings.
  7. Stewards will have the right to remove from the ring any person not considered to be suitably dressed or in effective control of their exhibit of whose exhibit is acting in such a manner which the judge of steward considers potentially dangerous.
  8. *Hot weather policy*: If the Adelaide forecast is to be 38 degrees or over on the channel 9 news the night before the show, it will be cancelled. The committee takes no responsibility if any exhibitor arrives at the show when it is cancelled. The SABA will refund entries less a $5.00 administration fee only if the show has been cancelled.
  9. The S.A Buckskin Association Inc. will not accept liability for any accident, damage, injury or loss to horses, competitors or spectators or any of their belongings or any other person or property.
  10. All protests must be lodged with the secretary in writing within 15 minutes of completion of the class, accompanied by a $50 fee which will be returned if the protest is upheld.
  11. The committee reserves the right to refuse any entries.
  12. The committee or designated representative of the committee reserves the right to inspect any exhibit on the ground.
  13. Heights of all horses and ponies are as on the day of the show, the committee reserves the right to measure any animal.
  14. Ages of all horses and ponies calculated from 1st of August, unless otherwise stated.
  15. Ages of handlers and riders are as on the day of the show.
  16. Any person riding must wear an approved safety helmet.
  17. Entry fee $4.50 per horse per class
  18. Ribbons to 3rd place entries permitting.
  19. The committee reserves the right to cancel or combine events in the case of insufficient entries being received. Competitors will be advised accordingly.
  20. Rings will only be held at the judges discretion.
  21. NO DOGS ALLOWED ON THE GROUNDS.
  22. NO REFUNDS will be given on tickets/entries.
  23. Any donations will be gratefully accepted

  25. Horses who are bred by or carrying the stud prefix of the judge are NOT ELIGIBLE to compete in that ring.
  26. If a horse or pony has been entered that carries the same prefix of the judge, the exhibitor will be notified prior to the show.
  27. NB: Insurance. For all entrants :It is now compulsory that competitors, riders & handlers have liability insurance coverage. The insurance disclaimer form MUST be completed on the entry form. Day insurance is available for the fee of $10 per handler, groom or helper.

NB: Exhibits must NOT be lunged on the oval
