Special Voters Meeting Results

Atthe Special Voters’ Meeting last Sunday, two Calls; were extended. Jeffrey Osbourn has been extended a Call to teach 7th grade, and Kiara Deholm has been extended a Call to teach 2nd grade. Please remember these candidates in your prayers as they consider their Calls to Trinity.

Congregational Elections Coming in June

Have you ever considered running for an office or board position here at Trinity? This is a wonderful way to be of service to your Lord and your church. Located on each of the Welcome Centers is a description sheet for our boards and offices. Nomination Forms and an Appointment Submission Form are also on the Welcome Centers. The Congregation Meeting and Elections will be held on June 12th after worship.

Church Office Secretary Announcement

As announced last Sunday, Church secretary Deb will be retiring this summer. The secretarial position for the church does require knowledge of many different computer programs, i.e., Word, Excel, Adobe, and Publisher, along with Google docs, mail and calendar. Lutheran Service Builder (Trinity’s bulletin program) and 360 (Trinity’s computer based congregation program) are required, and will be taught. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, from 9-5:00 p.m. with extra time needed on occasion for special bulletins. If you would like to apply, please provide a cover letter and resume to the office by mail or by dropping it off. If you would like a more complete list of the job duties, please call us at 419-385-2651, and we will be happy to provide you with more information.

Worship Service/Bible Study Changes

On Thursday, May 5th Trinity will offer a special worship service/concert at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Hearn. Consequently, there will be no Wednesday worship on May 4th and Pastor Love’s Thurs. night Bible study will not meet. Pastors will be attending a conference.

Chasubles for Altar

Trinity’s Altar Guild is planning to purchase new Chasubles (communion vestments) for Trinity. If you are interested in making a donation or a lasting memorial for a loved one, please contact either Pastor Love or Kay Hoefflin(419-410-8411).

High School Youth Meetings

SundayYouth Nite is each Sunday night in the youth room from6-8pm. High Schoolers and those entering High School in the fall are invited to come for time together hanging out, digging in, and sharing Christ. Join Pastor Kleimola!

Women’s Bible Study

You may still join Mrs. Hibbard in the Luther Room Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. as she continues the women’s study based on Change. Women of all ages are invited and you may join at any time! The class will continue to meet until Memorial Day.

Trinity Vicar Update

Trinity has received word that Vicar Zachary Viggers from Concordia Lutheran Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana has been chosen to serve his vicarage at Trinity beginning August 1, 2016. Vicar Viggers will be installed on Sunday, August 7th. Please remember him in your prayers.

Friendship Circle News!

Our May 5th event will be at 10:30 a.m. (please note—we are meeting earlier than normal!) Brunch will be at the Sunrise Skillet, 1855 S. Reynolds Rd. (just around the corner, near The Olive Garden). After brunch, we will return to church to hear the

A colorful and lush variety of hanging flower baskets, combo patio pots, Boston ferns and Geranium flats will be on sale at Trinity onFriday, May 6 from3-5 p.m.,Saturday, May 7 from9-3 p.m.andSunday May 8 from9 a.m.-noon. The price range is $14 to $15 for baskets and pots. Support our 8th graders and help them travel to the Great Smoky Mountains!
