Additional Housing Information:

  • All residents must be at least 18 years of age.
  • NYU cannot accommodate family housing requests, including spouses, partners and children not attending the program/event.

Residence Hall Staffing

Each residence hall is staffed by a full-time Residence Hall Director, Residence Hall Assistant Director, and Residence Hall Resource Manager. The full-time staff are assisted by a staff of specially trained student employees.

Laundry

Please note that all washers and dryers in NYU residence halls only accept NYU Campus Cash as payment (no cash, change, or credit cards). In order to utilize the laundry machines, arrangements must be made with NYU Campus Cash prior to the program's arrival. Please contact NYU Campus Cash by email at for more information.

Security

Each residence hall has 24 hour security provided by the NYU Department of Public Safety.

Tentative Workshop Activities (all included in workshop pricing):

Lecture by Marvin Taylor, NYU Professor and Director of the Fales Library and Special Collections at New York University.

The Fales Collection houses rare books and manuscripts inEnglish and American literature, the Downtown Collection, the Food and Cookery Collection and the general Special Collections of the NYU Libraries. It is especially strong in English literature from the middle of the 18th century to the present,documenting developments in the novel. The Downtown Collection documents the downtown New York art, performance, and literary scenes from 1975 to the present and is extremely richin archival holdings, including extensive film and video objects.

Upon acceptance to the workshop, you will have 48 hours to make full payment. Information on submission of payment will be sent with your acceptance.
