Don’t Sign Your Contract Until You Have Read This Carefully
The Staff at PineValley Campare a group of committed Christians who are excited about reaching the urban underprivileged child with the love of Jesus Christ. This is accomplished in a family-type styled atmosphere with activities, athletics, and outdoor adventures.
Our Goal For You - Our leadership staff is prepared each summer to lead devotionals for our staff. We want to do all we can to not only equip you for the summer, but for your life and future ministry. Your Camp experience is a golden key to your personal spiritual growth and your ability to lead others more effectively in the exciting days ahead.
Denominations - We recognize ourselves as a body of Christian people of varyingdenominations UNITED in effort to serve in furthering the kingdom.
Doctrinal Statement - We believe the scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men and the Divine and final authority for Christian faith and life. We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross, a sacrifice for our sins according to the scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate.
Our Basis of Fellowship - The body of Christ in the world has a great tendency to become followers ofmen or of movements and only associate
with those oflike following. The Nehemiah Project is a nondenominational ministry committed to theabsolute authority of the scriptures. We are not opposed
to denominations, however weare opposed to the over emphasis of concepts and the man developed doctrines that cause separation and division in
the body. We desire to fellowship with and work with all who desire to be subject to the clear principals of scriptures as their final authority. All that we
believe, teach and practice must come under the scrutiny of the Word of God. We believe that we have little right to call ourselves Christian if we do not face
the kind of agape love that overcomes petty differences. (John 13:35, 15:1-17) The LOVE OF GOD and the AUTHORITY OF THE SCRIPTURES has made
it possible for us to associate with believers everywhere and to enjoy the fellowship spoken of Philippians 2:1-3. While we do not assign the same strength to
every doctrine of the scripture as someone else might, these two things have enabled us to appreciate each other and rejoice that the truth of the gospel is
going forward.
Speaking in Tongues "PRAYER LANGUAGE". Etc. - After years ofprayer, study, counseling, consultation and ministry, we feel strongly
led to adhere to the following policy. (You will understand it better after years of your own ministry inthe future.) It is hard to understand but presently this
issue and various opinions of it aredividing the body of Christ. Churches are splitting, friendships are breaking, couples are divorcing, pride and jealousy are
abounding over the issue. It hurts us to see it happen. If we as the Pine Valley Team have nothing else, we have a unified stand in Jesus Christ. May nothing
separateus! Maya child who comes to Camp always be able to say as he looks at our whole team, "My how they love each other!" We will not have groups,
factions, or dissensions over this or any other issue! Our policy will be this until God leads otherwise: “PineValley will not be a place for teaching, ministry,
discussionor display of any sort of tongues or dramatic public physical healing." Our goal is to exalt Jesus Christ TOGETHER with our Christian brothers and
sisters of all denominations. Andremember “...THE GREATEST OF THESE IS LOVE."
Policy- Jesus Christ is glorified in everything we do! Therefore, we stand firm on His Word and His life's example.
