Columbia College Summer Camps: Offering a wide range of camps open to experts and beginners alike. You’ll learn from CC faculty, meet current students and get hands-on experience in everything from nursing to art.For more information, see

Mizzou Summer Camps: Do you enjoy doing your own scientific research? Do you have interest in veterinary or human biology? What about getting your hands dirty and helping the planet through environmental sciences? Maybe you fancy yourself an artist, musician or even a five-star chef. Stephens College Youth Programs-Dream Up Summer Camps:Quality summer programming provided by the same dedicated faculty and offering access to the same quality facilities that our college-level students enjoy every day. Offering programs in equestrian, film, science, athletics and performing arts. For more information, see

The Audrey Walton Youth Leadership Program: (FREE) Provides opportunities for Missouri youth (high school juniors & seniors) to gain skills that will assist them in becoming leaders in their communities and schools. This program promotes the importance of leadership, physical fitness, higher education, and a healthy life-style. For more information, see

CYCLE (Cooperative Youth Conference and Leadership Experience): CYCLEbrings in some of the brightest young leaders from across Missouri. The focus is to show students more about electric cooperatives, teach leadership skills and experience Missouri state government. The program includes nationally known speakers and a day at the state Capitol.For more information, see

The Missouri State Parks Youth Corps Program: Get Paid!The Missouri State Parks Youth Corps will challenge participants to “Think Outside” by accomplishing interesting projects that help preserve and enhance Missouri’s state park system. This program is for low income youth who are interested in working outside and would like to make some extra money over the summer months. For more information, see

Missouri Summer Programs:

Anytown Youth Leadership Institute: The Anytown Youth Leadership Institute, a program of The National Conference for Community and Justice of Metropolitan St. Louis (NCCJSTL), is a unique 8-day residential program for high-school-aged youth. For more information, see

Boone Electric Washington D.C. Youth Tour: 80 Missouri high school juniors join 1,500 students from 44 other states to Washington, D.C., every summer. Students attend a conference sponsored by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. The conference includes sessions on youth leadership, discussions on community issues and solutions, and motivational speeches by todays recognized leaders. You have the chance to meet your senators and representatives, too!

Cottey College Summer Programs: A week long residential workshop for high school girls who are interested in science, leadership, dance, music or computer programming. For more information, see

Leadership in Practice: A leadership emersion program, provided by the Missouri Chamber Education Foundation. For three days in June on Westminster College’s campus Missouri’s brightest rising sophomore student leaders come together. For more information, see

Missouri Military Academy: Missouri Military Academy hosts a Leadership, Confidence and Band camp as well as a Summer Academy each summer (Boys and Girls). For more information see,

University of Missouri-Kansas City: Kansas City Design Discoveryis a four-day program for prospectivestudents interested in the design professions ofArchitecture, Landscape Architecture, Interior Architecture/Product Design or Urban Planning/Design.

Missouri State Innovation Academy (Springfield): Offered for 3 weeks each summer, provides students with the opportunity to link their aptitudes with promising futures. For more information, see

Missouri Cadet Patrol Academy: This five day program by the Missouri State Highway Patrol offers young men and women firsthand experience of the role of Law Enforcement in promoting and safe guarding American freedoms and rights. For more information, see

Missouri Academy for Youth Advancement: A summer academic program designed for young, high-achieving students eager to earn advanced credits and learn in an accelerated and immersed academic environment in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and computing.

Missouri S&T (Rolla):Offers 16 science and technology camps (minority and women focus available), all focusing on “hands on” activities. For more information,see

MITE: Minority Introduction to Engineering (Rolla): High school juniors and seniors that are interested in a career in engineering, math, science or technology. Minority students for this program include African-American, Native Americans and Hispanic Americans. For more information see,

Missouri Science and Technology (Rolla): Learn more about career options for women in engineering, math and science. Programs include; Girls Go Green, It’s a Girl Thing and Summer Solutions for Girls. For more information see,

MODOT’S Annual Youth Transportation Conference: FREE, The six day conference will be packed with sessions on bridge building, building and testing, surveying and various competitions. Speakers from MU Civil Engineering and various related organizations. For more information see,

The Joyce Ivy Foundation: Provides scholarships to help young women from Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio and Michigan in their pursuit of higher education opportunities at leading academic institutions. For more information, see

Kansas City Art Institute Pre-College Art Lab: Three week residency program. Discover the daring and commitment it takes to be an artist. For more information, see

Lindenwood University’s annual Criminal Justice Summer Institute: This 3-day program is a summer academic camp for students considered careers in criminal justice, or who are just interested in learning about the criminal justice system, the criminal mind, and investigative techniques. Southeast Missouri (Cape Girardeau): Summer at Southeast offers a wide variety of academic, athletic, and special interest opportunities to area youth ranging in age. Each program or camp is designed to highlight a particular field of study, interest, and/or skill and to encourage everyone to explore their potential. For more information, see

St. Louis University (SLU): We offer more than 50 camps and academies for Pre-K through high school aged students, nearly 500 college credit courses and host numerous conferences and events. For more information, see

Berkeley Career Explorations:UC Berkeley summer internships in various careers (including architecture, fashion, medicine). Four and six-week programs. For more information, see

CDC Disease Detective Camp (DDC): FREE. Campers will take on the roles of disease detectives and learn how CDC safeguards the national health. For more information, see

Cornell Catalyst Program:Summer residential program for high school students from severely underrepresented groups who excel in math and science and want to learn more about careers in engineering. For more information see

Cornell Curie Academy:One week residential pre-engineering program for current sophomore or junior girls who excel in math. For more information, see

Cornell University Summer College Programs for High School Students: One, three, four, and six week programs for 10-12th graders, earning college credits. For more info, see

The Emory Pre-College Program: A summer academic program for high school students. It gives college-bound rising juniors and rising seniors an exciting glimpse of academic and residential life at a top-ranked national university. For more information, see

Furman Summer Scholars: The Summer Scholars program is an academic enrichment program that engages rising juniors and seniors in small group settings under the direction of Furman faculty members. For more info,

George Washington University: Science and Engineering Apprenticeship program for students over 16 yrs with an interest in science and math. Department of Defense laboratories for an 8 week paid apprenticeship ($2,000). For more information, see

Georgetown Summer Programs: High school students participate in college classes and advance their academic skills through a variety of challenging learning experiences lasting from eight days to ten weeks. For more information, see

Harvard SummerSchool: 200 credit and non-credit courses, special courses in drama math and writing. For more information, see

Hillsdale College Summer Travel Course: Rising high school juniors and seniors are invited to earn college credit with Hillsdale faculty in an intensive two-week summer travel seminars. For more information, see

Iowa State University: Students learn about the interconnection between wildlife biology and conservation, laboratory technology and diagnostics, animal science, and veterinary medicine. For more information, see

Junior Statesmen Summer School:Three and four-week summer courses at Georgetown, Stanford, Princeton, or Yale for rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors who have a passionate interest in politics, government and current events. For more information, see

Keio Academy of New York: US-Japan Summer Cultural Experience. Through group oriented projects, participants communicate in both Japanese and English and develop a cross cultural understanding that can contribute to international goodwill in the future.

Michigan Math and Science Scholars Program: Two 2-week sessions feature small, intense math and science courses. For more information, see

Mississippi State University Design Discovery: The College of Architecture Art + Design (CAAD) is offering an eight-day summer workshop that is intended to answer many of the questions about architecture and interior design as a field of study and as a profession. For more information see,

MIT: MITES (Minority Introduction to Engineering and Science) Six week program that prepares promising rising seniors for careers in engineering and science. For more information, see

Morehouse College: Coca-Cola Pre-College Leadership Program. The curriculum focuses on personal and interpersonal leadership skills. For more information, see

Morehouse Summer Institute (Project Identity): Summer program for African-American males entering the 10th and 11th grades. For more information, see

National Student Leadership Conference: Select from19 different summer programs across a wide variety of disciplines and careers, Business, Government & Law, S.T.E.M., Leadership, Performing & Media Arts. For more information, see

National Space Club Scholars Program: It is open to students 16 years old who have completed the 10th grade by June 2009 and have demonstrated high academic success, and have an interest in space science or engineering as a career. For more information, see

Northwestern University School of Communications Summer Programs for High School Students:Programs in film and video, speech, theatre arts, and policy debate. For more information, see

Notre Dame Seminars: African American Scholars, Latino Community Leadership Seminar, Global Issues Seminar. For more information, see

NYU Precollege Program: Students get to choose from 30 academic areas. All courses are taught by NYU’s prestigious faculty. For more information, see

Phillips Academy: This summer session is five weeks of study in Andover, MA. This program encompasses classes (of your choice), recreational afternoon activities, engaging trips to colleges, social and cultural opportunities. There is financial aid available for the bright motivated student who has real need. For more information, see

Pratt Institute: Students are immersed in a program of art, design, architecture, or creative writing, modeled after Pratt's undergraduate offerings. For more information, see

Princeton University: Summer Journalism Program for low income sophomores or juniors with at least a 3.5 GPA. Cost is FREE including travel. For more information, see

Sarah Lawrence College Summer Program:Three and six-week courses in writing, film, visual arts, and music, and a six-week program composed of three two-week courses in history, theatre, and literature. Filmmaking intensive available to current juniors and seniors. For more information, see
