Summer courses at Aarhus University, Denmark

Aarhus University offers more than 70 summer courses within different fields of study at Bachelor’s and Master’s level.All courses are taught in English.

Courses

AU offersboth 5 and 10 ECTS summer courses within the following academic areas: Business, Social Sciences, Science, Technology, Health and Humanities. The lengths of the courses vary but the courses start no earlier than 1 July and end no later than 14 August. You can either choose to study one 10 ECTS course or two 5 ECTS courses which don’t overlap. Please note that you can only choose courses taught at the campus in Aarhus.Find course information at:

Admission requirements
Include the following documents in your application to LU:

  1. CV
  2. A statementofpurpose (yourdescriptionofmotivatingfactors for, and expectedoutcomes from,participating in the summer course/courses).
  3. A copy of your Bachelor's degree diploma (if you are a Master student)
  4. A transcript of records and a certificate of registration (showing your previous and current studies)
  5. A document from your department stating that you can transfer the credits (tillgodoräkna in Swedish) from AU into your transcript from LU. Please include the names of the course/courses.

Aarhus University

AU Summer University

AU Summer University welcomes both international and Danish students to their courses. Last summer, more than 1500 students from 60 counties decided to spend part of their summer studying at AU. The university offers an exciting social programme (700-1200 DKK) to offset your highly focused studies. Among the activities offered are cultural nights, international dinners, and daytrips to the surrounding area.

Scholarship

There is no tuition fee for exchange students from Lund University. Selected exchange students will receive a Nordplus Express Mobility scholarship via Lund University. The maximum amount is 500 euros per student.

Expected costs
Nominated exchange students from Lund University are required to pay travel costs, living expenses, course materials, visa costs (if applicable)and accommodation. AU Summer University can assist with furnished accommodation from 3200-4500 DKK. For more information, please visit According to AU’s student budget calculation, the course material costs about 400 DKK per month and food is about 1000 DKK.

Insurance
All accepted students will be covered by Kammarkollegiet’s Student UT insurance. The insurance is valid two weeks prior to, andafter, the summer course. The student is covered 24-hours a day in the country of study.More information about the insurance terms and conditions can be found at:
