Fall kickoff plans:

Staff: ½ day requested and approved by John / date TBD

  • Request John to have classifed at inservice (he will check with Rob Siegel and let us know)
  • Request John to do “intro” at inservice: not time to process/ discuss; rather time for us to proceed with what we have… input received and modifications made as we proceed
  • Request John to be present during entire inservice
  • Distribute and update PBS notebooks/ notebook materials to staff
  • Go over all materials in notebook
  • Distribute other PBS materials: WOW containers/bee die cuts (Sherri), 3 posters: 3 Be’s, voice level, positions, neck wallets/tickets
  • Sample lesson plans presented… who/what? ______
  • Incentives sequence (Lori .): Friday classroom celebrations (2 names drawn for immediate reward, 2 names drawn /sent to office on die cut “bee” to be placed in John’s box, all WOW’s acknowledged and sent home with students, send Sherri P. # of tickets earned in your class for the wk., other as determined by individual teacher), John will draw ____ names at monthly assembly and these students will have lunch with him and receive a free book (Kim H. will look into free books).

  • Status: Kim H. sent order to print shop / she will take responsibility to make sure we have available for inservice and beginning of school yr.

Update re. status of reader board for Problem Solving Wheel: for time being will post several of our present large posters outside. (can we ask Kim Rispler to do this, daily?)

  • Student daily announcement (4th and 5th grade classroom rotating responsibility by wk.)
