1)simchas, songs and stories(Mandel JDS/Agnon School)
Originally Agnon’s “Shabbat Sing” program, this program alternates with “Thursdays Together” program, every other week. Program begins with singing, then story time and blessings after that. Story time will include read-aloud by our librarian (who uses puppets as props) and modeling of ways in which we should read to our children. Parents encouraged to meet and mingle with one another. / Families with young children up to age 5 (pre-K)
2)THURSDaystogether (Mandel JDS/Agnon School)
Each week, a professional drops by, mingles and talks with the parents. The focus is on offering support for effective parenting and Jewish knowledge. Facilitators combine general psychology and Jewish context into each session, helping parents weed through numerous perspectives in order to coalesce around certain shared values and areas of interest. Each session concludes with social time. / Families with younger baby/ toddler not yet attending school.
3)PJ library dinners (B’nai Jeshurun Congregation)
A Friday evening family program that includes a family-friendly Shabbat/Sukkot service, Shabbat-friendly crafts, and dinner. Kids are encouraged to come in their PJ’s. This program will be run 4 times throughout the year. / Families with young children ages 0-5
4)young family shabbat dinner picnic (B’nai Jeshurun Congregation)
Family friendly service & prayers for Shabbat, ice breaker activities, introduction of the family match-up program, matching willing participants with another family at this event, and encouraging these 2 families to have a follow-up “playdate”. Craft project and entertainment, Outback Ray followed by Shabbat dinner / Families with young children ages 0-5
5)Shalom baby (Gross Schechter Day School)
Expectant Jewish parents learn about childbearing and child rearing in a fun, relaxed environment where they can form social bonds and grow as both parents and Jews. A series of seven 90-minute sessions will help couples gain a deeper understanding of pregnancy, birth and a child’s first 18 months through the lenses of personal health, child well-being and Jewish life. Led by a facilitator and guest experts, each session will cover a topic of concern to young expectant parents. / Couples expecting a baby
6)stay and schmooze (Gross Schechter Day School)
Three social educational programs spread across the Jewish year to help new parents meet and connect with one another, engage in hands-on learning projects and fun activities around Jewish holidays and Shabbat, and enjoy some quality shmooze time together. Programs will include make and take projects or another interactive activity, stories, songs, holiday treats and blessings led by outside experts. In between programs, we will utilize Meet-Up, the online social networking/activity planning site, to launch and nurture a new Meet-Up for the parents that will bring together Shalom Baby, ICC parents and others in the community for additional social engagement
/ Families with infants age 6 weeks – 18 months old.
7)Shabbat shindigs @ the J (Mandel JCC)
Monthly half hour Kabbalat Shabbat experiences (Shindigs) with blessings, singing, stories, teaching. Representatives from local congregations will be invited to lead blessings in an effort to open opportunities for congregational affiliation through relational connections. Includes music/songs, blessings, challah and grape juice.

8)moms & babies at the park(Park Synagogue)
Moms (and/ or Dads, Grandparents, Caregivers) gather for introductions, music/movement and brief Judaic presentation. Every other session there is an optional art project , followed by socialization- bonding-play time, for Moms & Babies. A snack is also served. / Families with preschool children,
9)DADS (Dads and Daughters/sons) Together (Congregation ShaareyTikvah)
A Sunday program where dads and their children can get together at a local venue and have the children play while the dads are able to hang out , connect with one another and discuss parenting issues and raising children Jewishly. During the first hour of this 1.5 hour program, dads and their children utilize the local venue for games and activities. Afterward there will be snacks and some type of craft for the children and dads to go home with in relation to the Jewish calendar. Sessions will be held at local area play places. A fourth session will be held for just Dads to come together and talk about what they gained from these experiences. / Parents/caregivers with babies
10)menchkins (Suburban Temple Kol Ami)
A Sunday morning program, taking place at a different off-site location (i.e., Little Gym, Pottery Painting, etc.) each time. Each program will include an activity, a Jewish component or lesson of some kind, that will include something for the family to take home, snack and time for socializing. / Families with children from birth through 5 year olds
11)tbs tots around town (Temple Beth Shalom)
A series of parent-child activities at various locations in Hudson and the surrounding area. Now in partnership with PJ Library.Each program includes a warm-up/icebreaker activity; a story or other Judaic content piece; a moderated discussion about the story; hands-on activities for parents and children; a snack (where permissible by the venue) and social time; a “what's next” section, with connections to other upcoming events, and/or ways to follow up at home; and a parent handout. / Families with children from birth through 4 year olds
12)torah to go! (Temple Emanu El)
A monthly program held either at Temple Emanu El or another program site. Includes a mixer, welcome songs to introduce the theme, a brief service and Torah lesson connected to the activity and will conclude with a wrap-up activity and Shalom song. (Special Activities: Experience with Animals; Lakeshore Arts & Crafts; Visit to Menorah Pk or Montefiore with activity; Bubble Lady; Imagination Studio; Maltz Museum; Pot Luck meal; Shaker Nature Center; Torah Story Telling.) / Families with young children ages 2-5
13)parenting in the trenches (The Temple Tifereth Israel)
A series intended to bring parents with young children together as a community for a combination of social programs and learning experiences.Each session will be self-contained, so that if a participant is only able to attend one and not another, they will not feel disconnected.

14)WEST SIDE SHALOM BABIES AND BIG KIDS (Temple B’nai Abraham)
A monthly music class for west side kids ages 0-6 and their parents . Allows participants to connect with other families and learn how music can help teach the holidays. Each class has a different theme. / Families with children ages 0-6 years old
15)dip – drop in & play (Suburban Temple-Kol Ami)
The program will run from 9:30-11:00 am, and will include a Jewish story or teaching from one of the rabbis, Jewish music, snack, and free time to play and socialize. / Families with children ages 0-2 years old
