Summary of experience – Per Åkesson

I am a man combining pedagogical and technical skills, having a wide experience with computers since 1977.

I have studied computer science, journalism, and 8 foreign languages in USA, Sweden, France and Russia, at various intervals 1980-2003.

My professional background includes translator, PC technician and computer science teacher (PC, Mac, networks, WordPerfect, Pagemaker, HTML).

Since 1989 I’m a freelance journalist.

I am used to writing, mainly in my native Swedish language. Good at explaining or presenting complicated things in a simple and structured way, in normal language.

During 1994-96 I worked as system and project manager in a small office, Delphi Economics AB, maintaining the local network (LAN), and writing documentation.

In 1997 I worked as a translator for Berlitz Translation Services in Dublin, Ireland.

During the school year 1998/99, I was teaching math and C++ programming at a Swedish high school, Lidingö gymnasium. There I also set up the school’s web site from scratch at

I presently work full time for Scoop Publishware as technical writer, copywriter, web editor and test manager.
