Summary of Evaluations

In order to raise awareness and enhance networking between services within individual areas, a series of LISTEN sessions were arranged across the four localities within South Lanarkshire – East Kilbride, Lanark, Hamilton and Rutherglen.

Practitioners were given the opportunity to engage with support services available to individuals within their particular locality.

It was hoped that this would provide practitioners with the information to help signpost individuals to appropriate supports and services.

Practitioners were asked to complete an evaluation questionnaire at the end of their session.

The findings were as follows:

119 Practitioners attended over the four days; 94 of which completed an evaluation form.

Question 1 – How did you find out about today’s Listen event?

  • 68 found out about the event from e-mail or their manager
  • 26 found out through other methods, or misread the question.

Question 2 – What tables did you visit at today’s Listen event?

  • 89 people visited at least 3 tables or more
  • Lanarkshire Links appeared to be the most visited table across the four days with over 52 people visiting, although this varied for each location.

Question 3 – Did you find today’s Listen event worthwhile in terms of networking and information sharing?

Everyone responded that they found it worthwhile. Verbal feedback on each day was also excellent, no negative comments were given.

Some of the comments were:

“Enjoyed very much, would recommend this style of event to others”

“Very good! It is always helpful to have the opportunity to meet other services and agencies who could help offer additional support to service users”

“Thought it was fantastic and I was genuinely embarrassed at the amount of information I was not aware of”

“Absolutely fantastic. Good resource for new workers in the EK area”

“Good information, great concept”

“Think this highlighted the problems we came across as a service as well as the issues around care etc”

“Good to network outside agencies”

“Big yes. Was able to pass on information on my own service and lean about other services”

“Would recommend this style of event to others”

“Event was worthwhile as allowed me to see what services cater for the over 65’s”

“Good to see what the plans for the future are on moving forward with carer agencies”
