Weeks Before Ash Wednesday and First Week in Lent

The Light Is On for You(Suggested for Feb. 2)

“The Light Is On for You” is an initiative of the Archdiocese of Cincinnatito invite all Catholics to experience thelove and mercy of God through the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Confession is a wonderful opportunity to turn away from our sinfulness and to experience the grace of reconciliation with God and with others in our lives. In the Archdiocese of Cincinnati every parish will be celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation by offering private confessions on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. Every parish church will have their doors open for you. Parishes also have other scheduled times for private confession and communal penance services. Learn more at:

The Light Is On for You

This year in parishes across the Archdiocese of Cincinnati the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available on Tuesday, March 18 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. Consider making a commitment this Lent to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation and receive the healing grace of God’s forgiveness and love. Parishes also have other opportunities to celebrate the sacrament either privately or at a Communal Penance Service. Learn more at:

The Light Is On for You

Is there someone you love who has stopped coming to Mass or feels separated from the Church? Join the Lord in inviting him or her back to church. Catholic churches across the Archdiocese of Cincinnati will be open for quiet prayer and confession on Tuesday, March 18 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. Invite your friend to enjoy the quiet and peace of people gathered in silent prayer. If the time is right, also invite him or her to consider talking with a priest or receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Learn more at: .

The Light is On for You (suggested for March 2)

During this upcoming Lenten season, the Archdiocese of Cincinnati will focus on God’s mercy by providing opportunities to learn about the Sacrament of Reconciliation and to celebrate the Sacrament. Each Catholic parish in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati will provide the opportunity for private confession on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. Other opportunities for celebration the Sacrament will also be available. If you have been reluctant to come to the sacrament, have been away for some time, or just find it difficult to get to a Saturday afternoon confession time or communal penance service, March 18 will be a wonderful opportunity to connect with Christ and his Church. During the Weeks of Lent

Reconciliation Begins in Prayer

Sometimes, the first step to reconciliation is praying for the person with whom we need to be reconciled. Make a commitment this Lent to join us on Tuesday, March 18from 7:00pm – 9:00pmas we gather for quiet prayer and the Sacrament of Reconciliation. This will be an opportunity to pray for all of the situations in our lives that need the healing grace of Jesus’ love. Instruments of the Lord’s Peace

Are you searching for a pathway to peace with another person or for a situation close to your heart? Bring this need to prayer on Tuesday, March 18 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. This Lent, we will gather with Catholics all over the Archdiocese of Cincinnati to pray for the peace and reconciliation that our Lord can give when we offer ourselves as instruments of that peace. Be Reconciled with Christ and One Another (Third Sunday of Lent)

Like the woman at the well, Jesus desires to give us living water to drink. During this Lenten season, join with others to drink deeply of the love and mercy of God. Jesus Heals Us of Our Blindness (Fourth Sunday of Lent)

Jesus came to free us from the chains of our sinfulness and to give us new life in him.
