Work Experience:
1985– 1986:Worked with Late Ms. Justice Sunanda Bhandare when she was Advocate
on Record Supreme Court of India, New Delhi.
1985 – 1987:Worked as an associate Advocate with M/s. Singhania &Company Advocates and Solicitors, New Delhi, for a period of about one year.
1987:Started independent practice in the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court and District Courts of Delhi, besides Tribunals and Consumers Forum.
Have dealt in cases pertaining to Civil Law, Real Estate Law, Law of Intellectual Property, Company Law, Property Law, Family Law, Arbitration Law (Domestic and International), Contract Law, Constructions Law, Sale of Goods Law, Custom and Excise Law, Rent Law, Writ matters, Women and Law, Adoption Law, Constitutional Law, Service Law, Law relating to Land Reforms, etc. Has attained expertise in Real Estate Laws and Corporate Laws in India
1991: Taught Law at the Law Faculty of Jamia Milia Islamia University for a period of one Year.
1992 – 1994:Taught Law at the Faculty of Law, Law Center-I, Delhi University, Delhi.
Remained a Real Estate consultant with the ‘Economic Times’, a TimesGroupPublication, for a period of almost a year, during which period wrote on ‘PropertyLaw’ matters every week in the Column on ‘Consultations’.
Besides, Practicing Law, have conducted several arbitration cases as Arbitrator for commercial disputes.
2006 till
Date:Undertook training as a Mediator in the year 2006 conducted by Delhi High Court Mediation & Conciliation Centre (Samadhan).
Since then conducted Mediation Sessions in close to 300 cases. Cases related to Commercial transactions, IPR, Family and Matrimonial disputes etc.
Attended the ‘Train the Trainer’ program at Utah University, Salt Lake City, USA 2010.
Appointed as Organizing Secretary of the Delhi High Court Mediation & Conciliation Centre (Samadhan) in January 2012 and still continue in the said position.
Prepared animation Film on Mediation for Samadhan.
Have been Resource person for mediation training Workshops conducted for Lawyers and Judicial officials of Punjab & Haryana at Chandigarh and New Delhi; Refresher courses conducted by the Delhi High Court Mediation & Conciliation Centre (Samadhan) at Heritage Village, Manesar, Haryana.
Addressed executive officers of MMTC on the ‘Techniques of Mediation’ to sensitize them.
Addressed students at the Campus Law Centre, Delhi University on the ‘Concept of Mediation’.
Delivered lectures to School children on peer mediation.
Periodically conducting interactive sessions with the mediators of Samadhan.
Participated as Resource person in an Orientation Workshop on Mediation for the judicial officers of Delhi Courts organized by the Judicial Academy, Delhi.
Addressed lawyers and judicial officers of the Rajasthan Courts at Jodhpur in an Orientation Program on Mediation.
Have been an Observer / Judge for the First National Moot Mediation competition for 23 National Teams of Law School of India at the Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University, Lucknow.
Have been Visiting Dehradun as a Resource person for a Mediation workshop organized by the UPES, Dehradun, a part of the credit course for students of BBA LLB.
Have been an Observer /Judge for a Moot Mediation competition at NLU, Dwarka for 23 National teams of Law Schools organized by Samadhan in collaboration with National Law University, Dwarka.
Actively participated in the Asia Pacific International Mediation Summit ABA , Dispute Resolution Section.
Attended the Global Pound Conference Series 2016-17 at Singapore in March 2016.
July 2010:Designated as a Senior Advocate by the Delhi High Court, New Delhi, India.
