Introduction: Discover Your Successful Path

Is there a message from the Proverbs Women that is relevant to today’s woman?

The Proverbs Women is an excellent example for today’s modern women. We often think that our lives today are so much more complex than those of women who came before us, but her example leaves a legacy of excellence we all can strive for no matter what stage of life you are in right now.

Slide 2

The Proverbs Women is an example of the type of woman we should strive to be. She is the example of an ideal woman. Let’s take a look at how you and this Biblical woman are really very similar.

You may be a mother, married or single but as a woman you all have the opportunity to be successful, financially secure, and run your own business.

As successful women, you each make choices every day to be kind, to give to others and to be healthy.

These characteristics are universal but very unique to each woman in the room. How you go about achieving God’s plan for your life is your choice. Every day you have a choice, what will you do with your life? Every morning, ask yourself, how will I live my life today? What choices will I make today to reach my God given potential?

Slide 3

Just like the Proverbs Woman, you are a one of a kind creation from God. He made you exactly the way he wanted you to be. Each of you have a unique personality, talents, skills, strengths, and weaknesses. While some of us may have similar talents, or strengths, no two women are completely alike.

When we examine this ancient biblical ideal of womanhood, we do not find the stereotypical housewife occupied with dirty dishes and laundry, her daily life dictated by the demands of her husband and her children. Nor do we find a hardened, overly ambitious career woman who leaves her family to fend for itself.

Slide 4

What we find is a strong, dignified, multitalented, caring woman who is an individual in her own right. This woman has money to invest, servants to look after and real estate to manage. She is her husband’s partner, and she is completely trusted with the responsibility for their lands, property and goods.

She has the business skills to buy and sell in the market, along with the heartfelt sensitivity and compassion to care for and fulfill the needs of people who are less fortunate. Cheerfully and energetically she tackles the challenges each day brings. Her husband and children love and respect her for her kind, generous and caring nature.

Slide 5

Her success was not due to material things, but with all her responsibilities, first and foremost, she looked to God. Her primary concern was God’s will in her life. She is a woman after God’s own heart. Let’s examine the characteristics of this remarkable woman — a role model for Christian women today.

Slide 6

Her virtues are what made her successful. There are several definitions of VIRTUE:

1.  conformity to a standard of right or morality

2.  a particular moral excellence

3.  a beneficial quality or power of a thing

4.  manly strength or courage : valor

5.  a commendable quality or trait : merit

Slide 7

What are your virtues or values? Let’s find out! Remember that yours may not be the same as hers, but her story is an excellent example for each of us to follow.

Slide 14

The Proverbs Woman was likely a woman with a healthy body. She had to be in order to be as successful as she was. Success and health truly do go hand in hand.

She is energetic and strong, a hard worker. (Proverbs 31:17)

She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. (Proverbs 31:27 KJV)

To be energetic and strong and not idle is more than a state of mind. It is a state of action. You have to move. You have to give your body what it deserves. It does not deserve junk food, processed meals or a 6 pack of soda a day. It does not deserve to be inactive.

Your body deserves and needs movement, exercise, good food and care. Without the three, you will not have the ability to be energetic, strong, and focused to function at your full potential.
