Dear Parents,
Geometry Honors is designed for students who excelled in Mastery Algebra 1 in the 8th grade. All Geometry standards recommended by the state of South Carolina are covered. This course stress higher order thinking skills and moves at a faster pace than a regular geometry course. In order to insure success for your child, I, along with our district and school administration, would like to form a partnership with you. Together we can set and achieve goals that will positively impact your child’s future! I look forward to a wonderful and challenging year as your child matures into an excellent geometry student. Please encourage your child to always give 100% in everything he or she does. The rewards will be very worthwhile!

Classroom Guidelines
v Students who do not follow the Freshman Academy Rules will be assigned a FAIL (Freshman Academy Infraction Log).
v Inappropriate or disruptive behavior will result in a discipline referral.
Honors Geometry is NOT a Mastery Level Class. It is important to remember that all major assessments will be recorded after the first attempt. There will be no re-take option for any major assessment.
Students will have the option to re-take any minor assessment with a score of 70 or below. However, the highest possible score on a re-take is 70.
Students with a final average below 85 will be recommended for Algebra II CP for the following school year.

· Stylus for IPad
