Subject:Progress of the review programme of existing active substances
As mentioned at the occasion of the 59th CA meeting, the Commission services have the intention to follow closely the progress of the review programme in order to ensure that deadlines are met, so that the review of existing active substances is finalised by 2024 at the latest.
In that context, the Commission will send letters to all Member States to stress the importance of making progress on the examination of biocidal actives substances, in particular for the 1st and 2nd priority lists for which the reports must be submitted at the latest by 31st December 2015 and 31st December 2016 respectively.
An overview of the progress of the review programme on these 2 lists is presented in Appendix I and II to this document.
The Commission invites Member assessing active substances, in particular for the 1st and 2nd priority lists, to contact ECHA to anticipate any potential issues that may arise during their review.
