Subject: Complete 924/944/968 Excellence Index!

From: "Michael J. Kehr" <>

I have compiled an index for Excellence Magazine 924/944/968 series articles covering all issues. I have divided the index in several sections. This should speed up the search process when you need to retrieve information.

The articles by Jim Pasha are excellent in content and contain valuable repair information. for those water cooled Porsches! I hope that more are on their way in future issues. A sunroof troubleshooting/repair would be very helpful!

NOTE: I have all of the articles and this index in a plastic sleeved booklet. I have referenced to it several times during my repairs and troubleshooting.

If I missed any let me know. ()

Subject: automotive fine art, 2/27/00

From:

I thought I’d explain why I have the word "art" after my last name being we are all automotive enthusiasts here. I’m an automotive fine artist in Los Angeles. I paint in oils and my works are typically 6 to 18 square feet in size (on stretched canvas of course). My style is photo-realism and I like painting sections of cars instead of the entire thing (save that for all the calendars out there). My favorite subject matter are vintage European cars.

I don't have an inventory of prints like most automotive artists. Instead, I prefer doing original, personal commissions of people's own cars (or a particular car of interest). I generally work from photographs - my own or my client's.

If any of you are interested in a painting of your car or of a car that you would most likely kill for, send me a reply with your mailing address and I’ll send you a couple samples. I’d like to compare my style and quality of work to Wm A. Motta (if any of you are familiar).

Subject: Price Survey results synopsis, 2/23/00

From:

924/931/944/951/968 Price Survey Results
Survey synopsis:
This is a quick breakdown of the responses to the purchase price survey. In order to facilitate comparison, I extracted the information from each of the original posts and put the statistics into an identical format. The condition rating of the vehicle is my interpretation from what I would expect in a car described as Poor-Good-Excellent based on the respondents description. And I'm picky about what qualifies as Excellent The reader is free to view the full text of each survey response in the other post I'll send today. They contain a lot of interesting and amusing commentary. Everyone is free to make their own judgments on my subjective decisions. I don't want to argue about it. This is not a scientific study. I'm not going to make any conclusions as to the accuracy of the Excellence price guide in relation to this survey. You can make up your own mind. I'm not making any assertions to what any car is worth. Its purpose is to provide another piece of information for someone buying or selling one of these cars.

The format is as follows,
1.Year/ Model / Mileage
Condition/ sale price / State or Metro area (if specified)

Bruce= xxxxxx

(Maximum price indicated using the Excellence guide, according to year of sale and condition of vehicle, I'm using the guide to get max price like any reader would.)

All sales were conducted in the last 2 years, Responses with more than one sale reported are contained under the same number.
