  • Contestant – 4-H Connect (Opens March 21st & ClosesApril 4th)
  • Late registration from April 5th –7th
  • County Entry Form – E-mail to District office by April 5th

FEE:$12 per contestant/per contest (includes lunch)

$17 late registration fee

GUIDELINES, RULES AND REGULATIONS

AGE DIVISIONS

The following contestant ages are as of August 31, 2015:

  • JUNIOR – age 8 and 3rd grade- 8th grade
  • SENIOR – Grade 9th- 12th (contestant must not have reached their 18th birthday on or before August 31)

ENTRIES

All contestants must be entered on 4‐H Connect. Any individual/team not registered that show up to contest will not be allowed to compete.

There will be NO REFUNDS for teams/individuals that don’t show up to the contest. If you miss the registration deadline you will be required to pay the late registration fee.

TEAMS

Each county may enter an unlimited number of Senior and Junior teams. A team is made up of 3 or 4 members and no individual entries are accepted. Team members must be designated prior to the competition. Please complete the entry form attached and return to the district office by mail, fax or e-mail (choose ONE method).

Only teams and coaches that are involved in that particular match may be in the contest room. There will be no spectators allowed in the rooms during competition.

Junior team members can be on any 2 teams - Swine, Beef, or Horse Quiz Bowl. Their name needs to be listed on both entry forms and they must enter for both on 4-H Connect.

Seniors can only be on the Swine Quiz Bowl team and either the Horse or the Beef team – they must choose between Beef or Horse Quiz Bowl because they cannot do both at Texas 4-H Roundup.

SCHEDULE

Contest 10AM

Lunch will be provided

AWARDS

All youth will receive participant ribbons. Ribbons will be presented to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams in each age division and the first place teams will also receive medals. Awards will be presented at the conclusion of matches that determine place. There will be no separate awards presentation.
