CALL FOR PAPERS
Reconstruction of Production in Greece:
study the past, plan for the future
The problem of restructuring production in Greece becomesincreasingly urgent. Nevertheless, recent relevant studiesfall significantly shorter compared to those scientific analyses and the resulting proposals that took place during the first post-war decade. This indicates anything but a momentum for overcoming the impasses of modern Greek society and economy.
We believe that we have much to learn from those pioneering scientific studies and, thereby, to design updated and safe policies for facing the extremely critical period we live in. Moreover, we think that, taking into account the newest theoretical information and empirical data, we should contribute to the opening of a public, scientifically documented, discussion for the reconstruction of production in our country and for the respective institutional changes that will strengthen it.
Based upon this acknowledgement, the Department of Economics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Department of Economics of the University of Macedonia and the Institute for Social Research Dimitris Mpatsis, in collaboration with the Department of Marketing of the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki and the support of the Political Economy Research Group (PERG) and the Association of Economists of Thessaloniki organize aConference on the:
