Rack A Patch Panel

·  Examine the back side of the 24-port Lucent Patch Panel mounted on Rack A.

·  Note how the cables are laid down in the order they terminate on the jacks.

·  Note how the cables are "dressed" along the rear of the patch panel and held in place with cable ties.

1.  A top view of the patch panel is shown below. On this image, draw a diagram of the cables, showing how they are routed and laid down on the patch panel. Also show the cable ties:

Rack E Patch Panel

·  Examine the back side of the lower 48-port Lucent Patch Panel mounted on Rack E.

·  Note how the cables are laid down in the order they terminate on the jacks.

·  Note how the cables are "dressed" along "support bars" as they route to the rear of the patch panel and how they are held in place with cable ties.

2.  Here is a top view of the patch panel. On this image, draw a diagram of the support bars and cables, showing how the cables are routed and laid down on the patch panel. Also show the cable ties:

·  Study the entire lab to identify any other cable mounting, management or support devices.
Look on the racks (especially Rack E), ceiling, walls, plywood backboard, etc.
