Summer 2016

Students Entering Dexter Southfield School Class Five

Requirements

Reading

Students entering Class 5 are required to read Running Out of Time by Margaret Peterson Haddix. In addition boys entering Class 5 are required to read Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan and girls entering Class 5 are required to read The View from Saturday by E.L. Konigsburg. It is suggested that the two required books be read near the end of the summer because classroom activities have been planned for the fall on these novels. Additionally, students are required to choose three other books. A list of suggested summer reading books for Class Five students is available at www.dextersouthfield.org/SummerReading
