Call for STUDENT Poster Abstracts

Do you have a topic in clinical pharmacy practice that interests you? Come tell us about it!

The Pennsylvania Society of Health-System Pharmacists (PSHP) has arranged an exclusive session at the PSHP Annual Assembly in which YOU and other Pennsylvania pharmacy students will have the opportunity to present a poster on a clinical topic of YOUR choice. We invite you to submit an abstract describing your selected topic focusing on current health-system pharmacy issues relevant to the PSHP membership.

Topics that focus on advancing technician roles, credentialing and privileging of pharmacists, clinical leadership in hospital pharmacies, and transplant awareness are of pertinent interest to PSHP. Consider topics that you have come across and were important to patient care or pharmacy services while on your IPPE or APPE rotations.

Benefits of Participation:

·  Polish your communication skills for future presentations in class, on rotations, and beyond

·  Work with practicing pharmacists across Pennsylvania to discuss and help solve real world issues

·  Set yourself apart from your peers by having a formal poster presentation on your CV - great for those pursuing a residency

·  Gain valuable feedback from experienced professionals in clinical pharmacy

·  Meet fellow Pennsylvania pharmacy students who share YOUR interests

Send your abstract to and by Monday September 18, 2017 using the form below. There is a 250-word limit to each abstract excluding the title, authors, and section headers. Please indicate if the abstract has been presented at another meeting. Students are required to select an advisor or preceptor to be a mentor as you develop your topic and presentation; the name of your advisor/preceptor must be on the abstract or it will not be considered.

Applicants will be notified by Monday, September 25, 2017 if their abstract has been accepted. The poster presentation will be on Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 10:30 am-12 noon in Seven Springs, PA at the Seven Springs Mountain Resort as part of PSHP’s Student Programming Day at the Annual Assembly.

We look forward to seeing you!
