As a candidate for the Panther Creek High School Student Council, you must have leadership skills and demonstrate these skills daily. Please explore this idea of leadership in your essay by:

  1. Describing the characteristics of an effective leader. B. Explaining how you demonstrate these effective leadership skills daily. C. Choosing one effective leader that you admire and explain why this person is an effective leader. Be creative, but realistic!

Wednesday, March 28-Applications available on PCHS website

Tuesday, April 10–Interest Meeting (Mr. Gatlin’s Room, Mod 4-01, 1sthalf of SMART Lunch at 10:35 am)

Thursday, April 12-Mandatory Candidates’ Meeting (Mr. Gatlin’s room, Mod 4-01, 1st half of SMART Lunch at 10:35 am). Student Council applications are due to Mr. Gatlin no later than this meeting. Do not turn in the applications to the front office or another teacher! Share your Google slide to y the end of the day via email (must include your first and last name/ specific class and office you are running for/ slogan/ pic)

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday-April 17, 18, 19, 20–Campaigning (refer to campaign guidelines)

Monday and Tuesday-April 23 and 24–Elections during SMART lunch in Student Courtyard for current SO and JR / Gym Courtyard for current FR (if it rains, listen for the new location)

Wednesday, April 25-Elections results (Mr. Gatlin’s Room, Mod 4-01, 7:05 am)

Thursday and Friday, April 26 and 27 –Run-Off Elections during SMART lunch in the courtyards (if it rains, listen for the new location)
