Intermediate Championship from classes 22 to 25
CLASS 26CHAPS (UK) WINTER RESTRICTED QUALIFIERColored Ridden Horse or Pony open to Non-Native/Native/Cob/Traditional, any height, 4 years old and over. (No Lead Reins). Eight animals may qualify from the class placing’s.
CLASS 27 Ridden Horse open to Hacks, Hunters, Riding Horses & Cobs, 4 years old and over.
CLASS 28Novice Ridden Horse, open to Hacks, Hunters, Riding Horses & Cobs, 4 years old and over.
Rules
ALL RULES AS PER 2014 BSPS RULE AND SHOW HAND BOOK. BSPS RULES MUST BE ADHERED TO AT ALL TIMES.
The following classes are qualifiers for the BSPS Winter Championship Show, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners will qualify in the Novice classes and 1st Pony of Show Hunter Type class and in the mixed height novice classes the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th prize winners will qualify. In the Open/Restricted classes the three highest placed restricted animals in each class will qualify, and in the mixed height Open/Restricted classes the four highest placed restricted animals will qualify. All qualifications stand provided the pony is registered in accordance with BSPS rules 23 & 28.
1st to 4th prize winners in the Open/Restricted classes will qualify for the BSPS Premier League at the summer Championship Show 2014.
The first prize winners from each of the Open/Restricted classes and the Open Pony of SHT will qualify for the BSPS “Winter Winners” competition to be held at the BSPS Winter Championship Show.
Riders on restricted animals MUST wear an armband when they enter the ring.
Animals must be registered before the date of the show at which they qualify for the Winter Championships and must be ridden by BSPS Members, except in the case of exhibitors who have never been members before, who are allowed 7 days in which to become members and register their ponies. Provided that they have a valid JMB Height Certificate before the date of the Championship that they qualify for.
FOR CHAPS (UK) Winter Restricted Qualifying Classes, both the Owner and the Rider of any exhibit need not be fully paid up members of CHAPS (UK) at the time of the competition, nor must the animal be registered; but to validate the qualification, both membership and registration must be in place before entering the relevant BSPS Winter Championships. Forms may be obtained from : CHAPS (UK) Admin, 1 McLaren Cottages, Abertysswg, Rhymney, Tredegar, NP22 5BH or from. All Stallions must be graded with CHAPS (UK) in order to compete in these classes. Exhibits not to have qualified for HOYS in the current and previous year in which the Finals will be held (e.g. for 2014 Finals the horse or pony must not have qualified for HOYS in either 2012 or 2013).
Neither the BSPS
nor the committee, any judge, steward or any other official shall be liable for injury or damage to any person, animal, article or property. It is a condition of entry that each exhibitor or competitor shall indemnify the organizers and hold them harmless against such matters aforesaid.
Correctly secured British standard scull/riding hats No. EN1384 PAS 015 (USA) ASTMF 1163 that meet current safety standards MUST be worn at all times when mounted.
The committee reserves the right to alter the times of classes or the Judge if necessary.
All objections must be submitted in writing within 30 minutes of the completion of the class to the secretary with a deposit of £15.00.
Only tack permissible in the ring in BSPS classes is allowed on the showground when mounted.
Unmannerly behavior towards officials will not be tolerated.
No exercising in the rings, anyone doing so will be disqualified.
No entry fees will be refunded, all horses or ponies must be 4 years old or over. Mares and geldings only unless otherwise stated.
