Dear District Commissioner/Team Trainer,

We are holding a Mounted Games Day to assist children and their trainers to develop the skills required to compete in the Prince Philip Cup Games Competition this year. This is to be held at HIGHFIELD @ HOWE, Howe Country Centre, Arnot Acres, Giffordtown, Fife, KY15 7UW on SUNDAY 4 MARCH, 2018 in the Indoor Arena. Entries will be limited and will be taken in order as received.

Children will do some games individually; to assist them develop the skills needed, before being drawn into teams to compete under the supervision of a trainer. Linestewards are required and assistance will be given to those line stewards who are “first timers”.

The Area 1 Prince Philip Cup Games Competition will be held on Saturday, 26 Mayand will be hosted by

StrathearnBranch of the Pony Club, with a friendly competition on Sunday 27May.

The Area 19 Prince Philip Cup Games Competition will be held on Sunday, 20 May and will be hosted by Lanark and Upperward Branch of the Pony Club.

N.B. All riders must be current members of the Pony Club and have their District Commissioners approval to attend. Age as on 1 January, 2018.

Junior team games will follow sections 1 & 2 – Junior teams of four riders will be made up from sections 1 & 2.

Teams will be allocated a trainer for instruction and supervision in all aspects of riding and competing safely as a team. Lane stewards will be instructed in the rules of team games, both morning and afternoon.
