Group Discussion – 10 points:

You must earn 10 points for posting in the discussion board for Module One. The instructor will post aninitial question. In order to earn the required 10 points, you must complete the following:

  1. Respond to the initial question posted by the instructor in the module's discussion board. (5 points)
  2. Ask a question of or comment back to another participant or the instructor during the lesson. (5 points)

Group Activity Board:

You are strongly encouraged to post your Apply It! activity responses to this discussion board. It is not required, however, this is an excellent opportunity to get feedback from the facilitator as well as other participants in the class.

Quizzes - 10 points:

There is one quiz for module one. Once the module is made available it is your responsibility to view the course material and complete the quizzes prior to the end of the module. The quiz will be multiple choice and true/false and are provided to determine acquisition of course content. An average score of 80% or better is needed on each quiz to successfully complete the course. If a minimum score of 80% is not achieved on the quiz, the participant must contact the Course Facilitator (please see name and contact information above). The participant will be given the opportunity to review the course material again and then take an alternative quiz. The alternativequiz will be different from the first, but will still be multiple choice and true/false. A score of 80% or better will again be required to successfully complete the course. If the participant takes the quiz a second time and still does not pass, the participant must once again contact the Course Facilitator to discuss an alternative assignment designed to show comprehension of the module’s objectives. Those who do not successfully pass the quizzes or the alternate assignment will NOT be able to receive course credit.

A total of 10 points are possible for each quiz (100% = 10 points, 90% = 9 points, 80% = 8 points, and so on). A total of 40 points are therefore possible for the entire course.
