  • Aim

The generalaim of this course is to present, in a synthetical and pragmatic manner, the concepts and means of the strategic approach for the outline of a minimum plan of the strategic directions and alternatives for SMSE development with risks reduction to the minimum possible.

  • Duration: 12 hours (3 days of 4 hours each)

Part I - The strategic approach for business development

1.1.Aims, definitions, typology

1.2.Markets management, strategyand defining

1.3.Case study – Strategic approach with actual stages, directionsand alternatives

Part II – The draft of a strategic plan

2.1. Model description, drawing up

2.2. The strategic management and decision

2.3. The strategyof market creationand domination

2.4.Methodological guide for building a performant enterprise

2.5. Case study and application for an actual firm within a certain sector with specific fields, processes and products.

  • Acquired competences and abilities

The aim of this course is to cultivate the strategic management competences by developing, at least at the average level, certain abilities, such as: the understanding of the analysis procedures, methods,and techniques; the identification and selection of the internaland external sources of information; the collecting, analysis, presentation anduse of the information required by the strategic approach; the elaboration of a plan; the drawing up of some risk calculations; the presentation of strategic alternativesand directions, etc.

  • Target group

The target groups for this course are those consisting in persons that have graduated at least secondary schools (university graduates are preferred) who: have a business, are administrators or managersof private companies or public institutions; are about to resort to professional reconversion or are interested in acquiring new abilities.

The optimum number of persons attending the course is of 15-20 persons/series (5 groupsof 4 persons each).

  • Required materials

Lecturer: flipchart, videoprojector, retroprojector.

Students: (individual) course support; transparent foils (minimum 2pcs/group; marker(minimum 1piece/group, draft paper).
