OFFICE OF THE VICE-CHANCELLOR (OVC) ADVISORY GROUP – INFORMATION MANAGEMENT POLICY AND STRATEGY

OVC Advisory Groups may be established from time-to-time with the prior approval of the Vice-Chancellor and will be executive in function.

The purpose of such groups is to support the Chief Executive’s Group (CEG) member concerned in his or her executive function in relation to a specific area of his or her portfolio of responsibilities, by offering advice on strategy, operations management and scenario planning. Such groups may be thematic, reflecting key strategic priorities of the University, or more project-based and hence limited in time and scope.

The frequency of meetings will be at the discretion of the CEG member concerned and notes of the Group’s proceedings will be taken by the appropriate Executive Assistant within the Office of the Vice-Chancellor.

OVC Advisory Groups will be deemed to function within the structure of the CEG.

GENERIC TERMS OF REFERENCE

General

1To have general oversight of the implementation of the University’s strategy in relation to Information Management Policy and Strategy.

2To advise the CEG on the likely impact of any changes that it might wish to make to current policy or strategy.

3To make recommendations to the CEGconcerning revisions to current policy or strategy.

The terms of reference, compositions and areas of interest of each OVC Advisory Group will be noted by the Academic Board.
