Stove Top Stuffing Winter Coat Drive at Red Arrow Park
Warms Up Local Charities With Very “Cool” Donation
Stove Top Spread the Warmth Ambassadors to Award $2,500 to Charity with Largest Coat Donation
WHAT: Stove Top Stuffing is committed to spreading the warmth this winter and inspiring local residents to also pay it forward in their communities. To help spread the warmth in Milwaukee, Stove Top Stuffing is freezing a giant $2,500 check in a 6’ block of ice and on Thursday, Milwaukeeans can help choose which local charity will receive the check by helping to “thaw” the ice through gently-used coat donations.
Stove Top Spread the Warmth Ambassadors will be in Red Arrow Park on Thursday, February 11, collecting coats to benefit three local charities; Milwaukee Rescue Mission, Boys & Girls Club and The Salvation Army of Greater Milwaukee. Each charity will have its own donation bin and the charity with the most coats at the end of the Thaw-a-Thon will receive the frozen check.
Once the coat donations have “thawed” the ice, a representative from the winning charity will have the honors of smashing the ice to get to the check.
Also, visit SpreadtheWarmth.com through February 28 and tell us how you would spread warmth in your community with a $10,000 donation in the Stove Top Spread the Warmth Contest. America will then vote for their favorite finalists to receive the $10,000 donation to the non-profit charity of their choice to help make their good deed ideas a reality.
